Join the Northwest African American Museum and the UW Indigenous Wellness Research Institute’s Native Youth Enrichment Program as we connect our two current exhibitions, IndiVisible and Checking Our Pulse. The evening will include tastings of traditional African American and Native American foods, screenings by local youth filmmakers, and community sharing around the themes of food, identity, and health. Please come and share your story with us.
IndiVisible: African-Native American Lives in the Americas was developed, produced, and circulated by the National Museum of the American Indian, the National Museum of African American History and Culture, and the Smithsonian Institution Traveling Exhibition Service, with generous support from Akaloa Resource Foundation and the Latino Initiatives Pool, administered by the Smithsonian Latino Center.
The Smithsonian Community Grant program, funded by MetLife Foundation, is a proud sponsor of this public program.
