Chief Seattle Club is excited to welcome Harmony Hoss (Tlingit) as our featured artist for our First Thursday Art Walk on February 2 from 5:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Harmony is a self taught Tlingit artist born and raised in Seattle, WA. As a self taught artist Harmony has established her own unique style using traditional formline in a more feminine way. As a self taught beadist Harmony has also established her own unique style of beadwork – combining 2 dimensional design with peyote stitching using her own artwork to create the patterns. Harmony is an enrolled member of the Tlingit tribe; she is of Raven moiety from the Beaver clan. Harmony has been a craftsperson at the Pike Place Market in downtown Seattle since 2008 selling handcrafted sketch books with her artwork on the cover, hand painted artwork on canvas and beadwork.
Sacred Water will share their music, our member artists will demonstrate and display their work and of course we’ll have lots of food.
