Duties and responsibilities: Work closely with all Native American students at the middle school level in setting and achieving high academic standards. Work to develop a schedule that serves the maximum amount of students, with a focus of literacy and cultural awareness. Develop a program within a building that is congruent with the student needs and the Native American community expectations.
Work closely with administrators, teachers, parents, district staff, and the Native American community in meeting the behavioral, personal, social, and academic needs of Native American students. Provide communication support to parents through phone calls, newsletters, and hosting special events.
Other duties and responsibilities as assigned.
