An employee in this position will perform routine custodial work at bus stops, in buildings and adjacent grounds.
Essential functions will include cleaning seating areas, trash cans, windows, walls, restrooms and replenishing
supplies; sweeping, mopping, and polishing floors; operating a pressure washer to clean structures, pavement and
equipment; cleaning walkways and grounds adjacent to assigned buildings; ensuring that rubbish, weeds and waste
paper are removed; sweeping parking lots; shoveling snow and spreading sand in parking lots and transit centers;
cleaning shelters, and as needed preparing and providing touch up painting; cleaning work areas and equipment after
completion of job assignment and moving furniture and equipment as requested.
Wage: $14.20 per hour
One year of experience in performing the duties of laborer or custodian or an equivalent combination of experience
Possession of a valid Washington State driver’s license is required. Must be able to work non-traditional work hours
Knowledge & Abilities:
Knowledge of: the care and use of mops, brooms, scrub brushes, power sweepers and scrubbers, dusters, vacuum
cleaners and floor polishers; the use of cleaning materials such as soaps, powders, strippers, polishes, waxes, and graffiti
removers. Ability to: work well alone and in a team environment; understand and follow oral or written instructions;
learn all equipment operations; perform computerized work order methods and procedures; pass a job related
examination; drive all job related vehicles and maintain a valid Washington State driver?s license.

invited to appear before an oral review panel. The most competitive applicants will then be invited to participate in a
practical exam. Selection of finalists will be made from those who successfully complete the practical exam; selection
