Create a safe, stimulating and supportive learning environment to provide assessments and instruction to adults with special learning needs emphasizing Individualized Education Plans (IEP). Conduct frequent evaluations, record performance and progress, make recommendations, and adjust IEP’s as necessary. 1. Foster an educational environment that is conducive to learning. Encourage students to meet standard of achievement, make referrals when appropriate. 2. Create lesson plans and instruction programs designed to meet individual or group needs. 3. Establish goals and objectives appropriate to Individual Education Programs. Collect and interpret a variety of data related to IEP’s to provide administrative reports. 4. Establish protocol to administer appropriate assessments for individuals. 5. Coordination of special adaptations for IEP’s as necessary. 6. Provide input and recommendations for best practices. 7. Maintain accurate and complete student records as required by policy. 8. Establish clear objectives for all lessons and project and communicate those objectives to students. 9. Because of the Tribe’s commitment to community service and the well being of its members, each employee may be expected to perform a wide range of office and field duties from time to time. Such duties may or may not be related to their regular responsibilities. A valid Washington State driver’s license is required at the time of appointment or at a time set by the Tribe. First aid/CPR certificate is required.
