I’m excited to write you today with news that we have officially opened our application for scholarships to the 2016 Washington Low Income Housing Alliance Conference on Ending Homelessness! We are proud at the Coalition to offer two full scholarships (travel, registration, and lodging) to the Conference to individuals who are currently homeless, in overnight shelter, or transitional housing. We give preference to applicants who are clients or members of our member organizations. I am reaching out to you in particular because we saw the power of the advocacy at the Youth Summit this year, and hope that you’ll be able to pass this information on to some of the youth and young adults that attended (or others that you know that may be interested).
The application form (attached, and can be found on our website) must be returned to me by Tuesday, April 19, and all finalists will be contacted by Friday, April 22. We also encourage applicants to apply for the Washington Low Income Housing Alliance scholarships, which have a very similar application form.
Please pass this information on to any clients that you know may be interested in attending, and do let me know if you have any questions, or feel free to put people in touch with me. I’ll be out of the office next week, but will respond to people as soon as I am able when I return to the office.
