The Hepatitis Education Project (HEP) is a national nonprofit organization dedicated to ending the epidemics of hepatitis C and hepatitis B. Founded in 1993, HEP works with patients, medical providers, public health and policymakers, and provides direct services and advocacy for some of the community’s most underserved and marginalized populations.
HEP Chief Operating Officer
HEP is seeking a Chief Operating Officer (COO) to manage the agency’s day-to-day programs and specific projects. Reporting to the Executive Director, the COO will have both external and internal facing responsibilities, ranging from program management and health policy to administration and human resources. Program oversight will include medical case management, hepatitis testing, hepatitis prevention, and our work in the corrections setting.
The ideal candidate will have supervisory experience, possess excellent organizational skills, write well, communicate effectively, and be familiar with most office software. Experience in public health and social services is preferred. Knowledge of hepatitis trends, harm reduction, and social justice practice is also preferred. Children’s Administration is currently recruiting for a motivated and culturally competent Area Administrator with the Division of Children and Family Services field office located in West Seattle for the OICW/ White Center office.
This position is the Area Administrator for the King County field office located in Kent which conducts approximately 176 new child abuse investigations per month and serves approximately 250 children in out of home placements each month. This position reports directly to the Deputy Regional Administrator and is a member of the Region 2 leadership team. Position provides primary and secondary supervision for approximately 40 FTEs.
The Area Administrator reports directly to the Children’s Administration Deputy Regional Administrator and is responsible for the management and administration of the Children’s Administration – Division of Children and Family Services programs and delivery of services in King County. Ensures effective implementation of child protection and child welfare programs under law and policy including the development of professional social service staff who identify and maintain consistency with the DSHS vision, mission and goals as well as Children’s Administration initiatives and action plans.

Future Women Leaders in Law Enforcement program that will be held from August 15 through 20, 2016 at South Seattle College. This program is a partnership between the Seattle Police Department and South Seattle College and we are delighted to share this unique and exciting event.
This program is designed for young women between the ages of 16 and 20 who would like to learn more about policing from women in law enforcement. This is a week long program hosted by South Seattle College and the program is FREE. We are proudly supported by the Seattle Police Foundation as well. Priority will be given to young women entering the 12th grade during the school year 2016 – 2017. Young women from a wide variety of cultures and backgrounds are encouraged to apply. South Seattle College will provide workforce readiness assistance during this program.
